Ukraine will launch the construction of a new plant that will produce ammunition for the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2018.
Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak stated this on ZIK TV Channel on Tuesday, December 26 - Ukrinform. According to the minister, the Cabinet of Ministers has already allocated funds for the implementation of this project. "A few months ago, we have decided to allocate UAH 1.4 billion to launch the construction of a plant to produce ammunition, primarily deficit ammunition. We now have enough weapons so that the Armed Forces can fulfill their assigned tasks," the defense minister said. He also specified that as the army is being rearmed, the plant will gradually move to producing a new type of ammunition. “The plant will ensure the continuous supply of the Ukrainian Armed Forces with ammunition," the minister assured.
