 NewsRSSMilitants break New Year ceasefire in Donbas

Despite the mutual adherence to the ceasefire agreements throughout the whole day, Russian-backed militants launched at night provocative attacks on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Donbas.
This is reported by the ATO Headquarters press center - Ukrinform. In Donetsk direction, militants shelled Ukrainian strongholds outside Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol). In addition, terrorists fired 120mm mortars on Ukrainian positions. In Luhansk direction, ATO troops came under small arms fire near Stanytsia Luhanska (16km north-east of Luhansk). Moreover, an enemy’s UAV, banned under the Minsk agreements, was spotted in the area of Novhorodske (34km north of Donetsk). As reported, Russian-terrorist troops violated the ceasefire two times in ATO area in Donbas over the past day. Ukrainian troops did not return fire.
