Speaker Parubiy says security and defense to remain priority in budget for 2018

The issues of national security and defense should be top priority in the 2018 national budget, the consideration of which is scheduled for the current plenary week, November 13-17.
Verkhovna Rada Chairman Andriy Parubiy said this during a meeting of the Agenda-Setting Council on November 13, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“The consideration of the budget will be the most important issue for this week. I would like to stress that security and defense will be top priority in this budget, like in the previous years’ budgets. It is important for us to consider the budget from the point of view of security and defense," said the speaker.
He also called on MPs to unite and approve in first reading the budget of Ukraine.
