Ukrainian PM Groysman insists on bringing MH17 case to trial

Ukrainian PM Groysman insists on bringing MH17 case to trial
2 of October 2017 г.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman believes that bringing perpetrators of MH17 crash to justice is the duty of the whole civilized world.

Ukrainian PM said this during the meeting with President of the Australian Senate Stephen Perry, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"A common tragedy, which occurred with the involvement of Russian terrorists, consolidated us in a certain historic period. I mean downing of MH17. This is enormous tragedy for us, and we are doing everything that depends on us, cooperating with you, to bring all the perpetrators to justice. Bringing this case to trial in the relevant courts is the common duty of the whole civilized democratic world," Groysman said.

At the same time, the Head of Ukrainian Government thanked Perry for Australia’s support for Ukraine during the difficult time when Ukraine became a victim of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation.

"Our bilateral relations in this historical period of time are very close, and your visit again testifies to the fact that we should unite our opportunities and deepen our relations," the Prime Minister underscored and expressed the hope that cooperation between states, including economic, would intensify in the future.

As a reminder, Malaysia Airlines MH17 Boeing 777 heading from Amsterdam for Kuala Lumpur was shot down over militant-occupied territory in Donetsk region, eastern Ukraine, on July 17, 2014. All 298 people on board were killed in the crash.

The international group to investigate the plane crash came to the conclusion that the airliner was shot down from a territory controlled by the Russian-backed militants with a missile launched from the Buk missile launcher, previously delivered from the territory of Russia.
