Growth of prices in Ukraine is linked to the prices of imported goods and seasonal fluctuations of prices of goods, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has said - Interfax.
"I am also alarmed with the price growth, especially food prices. This is not caused by growth of social standards, but it is caused by the fluctuations on foreign markets. If we look at the growth of prices abroad, we understand that there are problems there and imported goods are pressing on Ukrainian prices," Groysman told reporters in Odesa. He said that the task of the government is the creation of the conditions when growth of citizens' income will be quicker than growth of prices and in some cases to stop growth of prices. "We will try some measures that would allow us, first to stop growth [of prices] for some types [of goods]. We also have seasonal fluctuations. This is an obvious factor that for example, in autumn the prices of one group of goods grow," the prime minister said.
