Speaker Andriy Parubi opened the seventh session of the eighth convocation of the Verkhovna Rada.

He stated this from the rostrum of parliament on Tuesday.

In addition to the head of the Verkhovna Rada, the Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groisman spoke at the opening ceremony with speeches.

In his speech Parubi described the priorities of this session. He called the most important of them the national security and defense of Ukraine.
