Militants launched 29 attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in ATO area in Donbas over the past day, having intensified attacks in Donetsk and Mariupol directions.
This is reported by the ATO press center - Ukrinform. In Mariupol direction, militants used grenade launchers and mortars to shell Ukrainian positions near Marinka (35 km south-west of Donetsk. In addition, the enemy fired at ATO troops outside Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk), Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol), Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol) and Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol), using grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms. In Donetsk direction, Russian-backed militants shelled Ukrainian strongholds near Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk), using mortars, grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms. The enemy also launched attacks on ATO troops near Butovka coal mine (11.4km north-west of Donetsk). In Luhansk direction, Ukrainian troops came under enemy fire outside Stanytsia Luhanska (16km north-east of Luhansk), Novooleksandrivka (65km west of Luhansk) and Novotoshkivske (53km north-west of Luhansk).
