In Hamburg, Hamburg, on Friday, a meeting of the leaders of the 20 strongest developed and emerging economies of the world will start.

The theme of the summit is "Building an interconnected world." The main issues on the agenda are climate change in the light of the Paris Agreement, world trade and protectionism, the fight against pandemics, aid to Africa and others.

International issues, primarily the situation in Ukraine and Syria, the crisis in the Persian Gulf and the Middle East are discussed mainly at bilateral and tripartite meetings, which are on the sidelines of the summit.

The summit is held in Germany for the first time.

By tradition, thousands of antiglobalists gathered in the city hosting it.
