The Verkhovna Rada committee on the rules of procedure and the organization of parliamentary activity has described as sufficient and well-grounded the motions submitted by the Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office to prosecute, detain and arrest MP Boryslav Rozenblat.
Relevant conclusions were announced by committee chairman Pavlo Pynzenyk, an Ukrinform correspondent reports. "Regarding the motion on the consent to prosecute Ukrainian MP Boryslav Rozenblat, which was supported and submitted to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine by Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko, the committee believes that the motion is legal, motivated, as well as sufficient and well-grounded," Pynzenyk said. He added that the committee also saw as legal and motivated the motions regarding the detention and arrest of Rozenblat. Pynzenyk also said that the relevant conclusions of the committee, along with the explanations of Rozenblat and motions from the Prosecutor General's Office, would be sent to Verkhovna Rada Chairman Andriy Parubiy. As reported, on June 21, 2017, Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko said that motions had been submitted to parliament regarding the consent to prosecute, detain and arrest MP Rozenblat, whose actions are qualified as abuse of influence and bribery for a total of $280,000.
