Parubiy not rules out a 'very fast' decision on Ukraine's membership in NATO

Verkhovna Rada Speaker Andriy Parubiy does not rule out that the decision on Ukraine's membership in NATO can be made unexpectedly quickly.
Parubiy said this at a briefing on Monday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"Ukraine should do everything possible to bring Ukraine's security sector to the NATO standards by 2020. Then only a political decision will have to be made. We will make every effort to draw nearer the day when we could apply and Ukraine could become a NATO member," Parubiy said.
According to him, everything happens so quickly that "the decision of the North Atlantic Alliance and Ukraine regarding Ukraine's participation in NATO can arise unexpectedly quickly both for Ukraine and NATO."
