Britain officially launched the process of withdrawal from the European Union, transferring the corresponding letter with the head of the European Council Donald Tusk.
This Tusk said in his Twitter.
"After 9 months, the United Kingdom sent (letter - Ed.)" - wrote Tusk.
Thus Britain launched Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty. From this moment begins a two-year process of withdrawal from the EU.
As reported, Prime Minister of Great Britain Theresa May on Tuesday evening, March 28, signed a declaration of a country from the European Union.
