Ukrainian Ecology and Natural Resources Minister Ostap Semerak says that the development of renewable energy companies is a way to the full energy independence of Ukraine.
The minister stated this when commenting on the results of his meeting with Lviv-based ЕСО Optima Company - Ukrinform. “Ukraine, along with traditional energy, is actively working on the development of renewable energy. The introduction of renewable energy production will give an opportunity for our state to receive full energy independence," Semerak said. In particular, Semerak said that the Ministry of Natural Resources in cooperation with the State Agency for the Management of the Exclusion Zone is initiating the construction of solar power plants in the exclusion zone in Chornobyl. According to the minister, a large number of companies have interested in investing in such construction.
