Ukrainian Finance Minister Oleksandr Danyliuk intends to submit a revised draft law on the financial police to the Cabinet of Ministers in the near future.
Minister Danyliuk wrote this on his Facebook page, when commenting on the situation with the Tax Police liquidation from the start on 2017 - Ukrinform. "In the coming days, the Finance Ministry will submit for government’s consideration a bill on the creation of the Financial Police, which the business is waiting for and which is envisaged in a memorandum with the IMF" Danyliuk wrote. According to him, the elimination of the Tax Police and the establishment of the Financial Police is one of the ministry’s key priorities. "The Tax Police definitely must be eliminated. We planned to do this simultaneously with the creation of a new Financial Police, which will not be a law enforcement, but really efficient analytical agency,” the finance minister stressed.
