Finance Minister Danyliuk on PrivatBank nationalization: Depositors' money secured

The government’s decision to nationalize PJSC PrivatBank will ensure the security of funds and savings of bank’s depositors and promote stable functioning of the bank and financial system of the country.
Ukrainian Finance Minister Oleksandr Danyliuk said this at a press briefing, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Yesterday the government took a very important decision on merging the state with the capital of PrivatBank, now the bank is owned by the state in the person of the Finance Ministry,” Danyliuk said.
He also stressed this decision will promote stable functioning of the bank, secure the money of bank’s depositors and ensure stable financial system of the country.
“The bank continues working due to its transfer into state ownership,” Danyliuk stressed.
