NewsRSSUkraine opens criminal case against Russian actor Okhlobystin
2 of December 2016 г.
A criminal case has been opened against Russian actor Ivan Okhlobystin, whom the Ukrainian special services are accusing of "creating a terrorist group," Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) spokesperson Olena Hytlianska said - Interfax.
The reason for the opening of the case was public support by Okhlobystin of "Russian world" ideas, his hailing of the "Russian spring" in Ukraine, his statements in support of the self-proclaimed DPR, "Russian aggression against Ukraine," and the joining of Crimea to Russia, Hytlianska said on Facebook on Friday. Hytlianska said Okhlobystin has recently received "a passport of a DPR citizen" and promised this self-proclaimed entity "assistance of a propaganda nature via implementation of relevant film projects." Okhlobystin has been denied entry to Ukraine since fall 2014. Anton Gerashchenko, a Ukrainian parliamentarian and the interior minister's adviser, said he intends to initiate an entry ban on the Russian actor to foreign states.
