Council of EU today to consider visa-free regime for Ukraine

The Council of the European Union today, November 17, will consider the issue on the start of interinstitutional talks with the European Parliament and the European Commission on the completion of process on approving a decision to abolish visa requirements for Ukrainian citizens.
This issue has been put on the agenda of the Committee of Permanent Representatives in the European Union, own Ukrinform correspondent reports from Brussels, referring to a source form the EU institutions.
"This issue will be considered by the Council of the European Union on Thursday. If there is a positive decision, then interinstitutional negotiations will begin as soon as the agreement is reached on a new mechanism for suspending a visa-free regime. I hope that this will take place in the coming weeks," the source said.
