Militant forces have committed truce violations and have opened fire on Ukrainian military positions in Donbas 36 times in the past 24 hours, the press service of the headquarters of Kyiv's army operation in Donbas has said - Interfax.
"Seventeen provocations have been recorded near the city of Mariupol. The adversary fired large-caliber machineguns, grenade launchers and small arms on fortifications of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Hranytne, Lebedynske, Hnutove and Novotroitske, and fired infantry fighting vehicle weapons in Berezne," the operation headquarters said on its Facebook account. The militants also used 120mm mortars near Stepne, and fired 82mm and 120mm mortars in Shyrokyne and Krasnohorivka, it said. The militants also committed ten ceasefire violations in Donetsk region, where small arms, machineguns, grenade launchers and 82mm mortars were used in Avdiyivka, the Butivka mine and Verkhniotoretske, and infantry fighting vehicle weapons were fired in Luhanske, the headquarters said. Nine strikes were recorded in Luhansk region, the Ukrainian side said. Militant forces fired small arms and grenade launchers on the outskirts of Nizhnioteple and Lopaskyne, and used mortars and 120mm and 122mm cannon artillery against the outskirts of Krymske, it said.
