Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin will travel to Strasbourg to take part in the Day of Ukrainian reforms in the Council of Europe, Ukraine's Foreign Ministry press service said.
The purpose of the event - the presentation of the achievements of Ukraine in the implementation of reforms, supported by the Council of Europe as part of its Action Plan for Ukraine for 2015-2017 - Interfax. "The Action Plan covers such reforms as the creation and strengthening of anti-corruption mechanisms, judicial reform, implementation of human rights national strategy, reform of the police and the prison system and the creation of public television. During the meeting the existing results of the reforms and further cooperation priorities of Ukraine and the Council of Europe in these areas will be discussed," the report says. In addition, Klimkin will meet with the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Council of Europe Nils Muiznieks. The Day of Ukrainian reforms in the Council of Europe will also be attended by Justice Minister Pavlo Petrenko, director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau Artem Sytnik, Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yevhen Yenin, Head of the Higher Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine Serhiy Koziakov and other high-ranking officials and representatives of Ukrainian NGOs.
