The Culture Ministry of Ukraine launches the work of Book Institute, Culture Minister Yevhen Nyshchuk has said.
“This is a very important event for the whole thinking people. The Book Institute is the organization that has to spread new trends of making reading popular,” the minister said at a press briefing on Tuesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports. The minister said that Ukraine has a lot of problems in book industry and there is a decline in readership. Nyshchuk named several tasks set for the Book Institute. "The task is to support authors, distribute books and acquaint the European public with Ukrainian books," Nyshchuk said.
