Famous journalist Pavel Sheremet died in a car blast on Wednesday morning, July 20. According to the information of Ukrayinska Pravda, the car exploded on the corner of Bohdana Khmelnytskoho and Ivana Franka in Kyiv, in front of McDonalds - Ukrayinska Pravda.
This car belonged to the founding editor of Ukrayinska Pravda Olena Prytula, but she was not inside the car. The blast took place at 7:45 am when Sheremet was driving the car. Police arrived on the site. As of 8:50 am, the Head of the National Police Khatia Dekanoidze is on the site of the attack. Pavel Sheremet was born and raised in Belarus. He worked in banking before becoming a journalist. He worked at Belarusian television, but because of a conflict with the Lukashenko regime, arrest, and a conditional sentence, Sheremet moved to Russia where he worked at ORT TV channel.
