Speaker of Verkhovna Rada Andrii Parubii has been forced to close early the parliamentary session on Tuesday due to lack of MPs in the hall.

During today's session, the parliament failed to vote on several bills. In the morning, the speaker held a signal voting, with 216 MPs participating in it (of 450 total). Later, the people's deputies managed to adopt one bill with a recommendation for the Cabinet of Ministers to approve the strategy of tourism and resorts development in Ukraine.
The bill has been passed due to votes of the Opposition Bloc. The Radical Party, which members continue their 'sitting' protest, does not participate in voting.
After a number of signal voting on several bills, the speaker held a preferential voting, after which he was forced to acknowledge there were no enough MPs in the session hall for passing bills.
"Neither written registration, nor electronic one in the morning give us a response. Many come, put a signature, and leave," Parubii said.
As reported yesterday, on July 12 Rada failed to vote for sector sanctions against Russia due to lack of votes. Today, the speaker said he would not risk putting the bills on Ukrainian military to vote.
Eventually, Parubii decided to close the Rada session early.
