Government to create National Agency for Intellectual Property

The Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers plans to create the National Agency for Intellectual Property as a public organization that will be subordinated to the Economic Development Ministry, according to the government’s priority action plan for 2016 posted on the government’s official website - Ukrinform.
“The creation of the National Agency for intellectual Property as a public organization in the sphere of management of the Economic Development Ministry and which will fulfill certain public functions (powers of authority) on the realization of state policy in the intellectual sphere. The State Service of Intellectual Property will be liquidated,” reads the document.
