Ukraine intends to have full interoperability with NATO by 2020 - Speaker Parubiy

The priority for Ukraine's cooperation with NATO is to achieve criteria for gaining membership in the Alliance. In this case, Ukraine expects to achieve full interoperability with NATO countries by 2020.
Verkhovna Rada Chairman Andriy Parubiy said this during a meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Inter-Parliamentary Council in Kyiv on Tuesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"The priority for us in cooperation with NATO is maximum deepening of cooperation in order to attain the criteria for gaining membership in NATO. First and foremost, the issue here is a wide range of deep democratic reforms. The priority is to achieve the full compatibility of the security and defense of Ukraine with the relevant structures of NATO member states by 2020," the parliamentary speaker said.
