Terrorists have used a Grad Multiple Launch Rocket System in the east of Ukraine on Dec. 23, the ATO press center reports.
According to the message, illegal armed gangs of the Russian terrorist troops have fired at the Ukrainian army positions seven times since the beginning of the day Wednesday.
Two cases of the weapons use by terrorists were recorded after midnight, another five times were their provocations of Ukrainian soldiers for the retaliation fire.
As of 9 a.m. this morning, terrorists opened fire three times since 7 a.m. In particular, they used anti-tank missile systems against Ukrainian positions in Hranitne at the Mariupol direction and small arms near Maoirsk, Horlivka vicinity.
An enemy sniper was operating near Opytne.
"According to the most recent information, mercenaries fired Grad MLRS, possibly a portable one, against one of our positions near Troitske and Bohuslavske. The ATO forces' units are abiding by the cease-fire agreements reached yesterday in Minks and do not fall under provocations. These outraging cases of the cease-fire violation by Russia-controlled gangs witness of their unpreparedness for a peaceful dialogue on deescalation of the armed conflict in the Donbas. They also prove the gangs' leaders' inadequate position regarding the fulfillment of the Minsk agreements," the message stresses.
