Medvedev signs resolution on introduction sanctions against Ukraine

Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Medvedev, has signed a resolution on the introduction of sanctions against Ukraine, Russia’s TASS news agency reports.
“On January 1, 2016, Ukraine will come under response economic measures following its joining anti-Russian sanctions of the European Union and the United States… I have just signed a relevant resolution of the government,” Medvedev said.
He also stressed that import duties would be imposed on Ukrainian goods from the beginning of 2016.
“Starting from January 1, 2016, import duties stipulated by the European Economic Union’s common customs tariff will be applied to Ukraine, which means the regime of most favored nation treatment without any exceptions will be applied to Ukraine,” Medvedev said.
