EU approves extension sanctions against Russia

The European Union formally approved the decision to extend sanctions against Russia for another six months, according to an UNIAN correspondent in Brussels citing her source in the European Council.
"The decision has just been made," said the source.
The decision was confirmed in writing. Tuesday, December 22, it will be published in the Official Journal of the European Union.
As previously announced on December 18, the decision to extend sanctions against the Russian Federation was adopted at the level of the Committee of Permanent Representatives of the Member States (COREPER).
