9 of November 2015 г.
One Ukrainian soldier was killed and another six were wounded in the Donbas conflict zone in the last 24 hours, presidential administration spokesman for the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) Colonel Andriy Lysenko said at a briefing in Kyiv on Monday, according to an UNIAN correspondent.
"Over the last day, no Ukrainian soldiers were killed but one was wounded as a result of military clashes in the village of Maiorske. Yesterday morning, an armored personnel carrier of the Ukrainian Armed Forces overturned near the town of Kurakhove of Donetsk region, resulting in one soldier was killed and another five servicemen of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine were injured," he said. According to Lysenko, the pro-Russian militants have been firing at the Ukrainian positions on all fronts. "The situation in Donbas remains tense. Over the last day, we have recorded enemy provocations along the entire demarcation line," he said. "In the area of Luhansk, the only hot spot was the city of Schastia in the last 24 hours: the enemy fired rocket-propelled grenades and machine guns twice on ATO positions," Lysenko said. "It was also tense between the towns of Horlivka and Yasynuvata: the militants attacked the ATO forces in the villages of Novhorodske, Troitske and Verkhniotoretske," he said. On Sunday, the enemy was also active not far from the Donetsk airport, namely in the towns of Avdiyivka and Krasnohorivka, and the villages of Opytne and Pisky. In addition to small arms, the mercenaries fired from infantry fighting vehicles at least twice on ATO forces in Pisky. For half an hour on November 8, the militants were firing small arms on the Ukrainian army positions in the village of Shyrokyne in Donetsk region, Lysenko said. In addition, the enemy snipers opened fire at Shyrokyne, he added.
