Russian woman accused of "aiding terrorists" for pro-Ukrainian posts in social networks (PHOTO)

The trial of a single mother Yekaterina Vologzheninova begins in Yekaterinburg, where the woman is accused of "aiding terrorists" for posting pro-Ukrainian posts on social networks, the Crimean news agency Krym.Realii reports, with reference to currenttime.tv.

Vologzheninova posted on her social network page materials related to the events in Ukraine. Russian Federal Security Service considers them as extremist.

The woman has been interested in the developments of the Ukrainian crisis since last summer. She has been looking for a version of the events alternative to that available on Russian state-owned TV, and then reposting such information. But along with 52 folllowers, her profile was monitored by Internet security services experts.

Guised as cable repair service, the security officers entered her house with a search warrant. They seized her computer, a tablet, and a phone.

The woman is being accused "in inciting hatred against social groups, Russian 'militants-volunteers,' those who are fighting on the side of the 'militants,' against the authorities in modern Russia," the accusation says.

At the moment, her name is in the list of "supporters of terrorists" on the home page of the Federal Service for Financial and Budget Supervision of the Russian Federation.

Only prosecutors decided to comment on her charges. In short, the authors of some of the materials, which were reposted by Yekaterina, were "recognized as extremists" For sharing their banned opinion online, she may be imprisoned for four years.

"Copying and posting links to these materials is a crime. A woman is prosecuted namely for this crime," - said Senior Assistant Attorney of Sverdlovsk region Marina Kanatova said.
