"Having significantly reduced their activity, the illegal armed groups opened fire on our positions several times using mainly small arms trying to invite the ATO troops' retaliation. The militants fired at our strongholds in Marinka, Opytne, and Avdiivka near Donetsk with small arms between 6 p.m. and midnight Aug. 31. The invaders also employed a grenade launcher south of Avdiivka at about 7 p.m. and 11 p.m.," the report reads.
According to the headquarters, the invaders used small arms against the Ukrainian detachments in Sanzharivka at the Artemivsk direction at 8:30 p.m. The enemy assaulted the ATO forces near Lozove village with heavy machine gun at 10 p.m.
"At the Luhansk direction, the enemy used small-arms against the Ukrainian troops' position in the village of Krymske from the direction of Sokilnyky around midnight.
"The gangs violated the cease-fire 19 times totally yesterday, Aug. 31. The enemy has not employed weapons along the demarcation line from midnight to 6 a.m. today, Sept. 1," the ATO press center reported.
