Isaev fought in the "Luhansk People's Republic" terrorists' tank battalion, Censor.NET reports citing Russian Dozhd TV channel.
He arrived in the Donbas through a private military company in St. Petersburg. Isaev was provided with a uniform in the office of this company and sent to Rostov where he received weapons.
The militant said that all the weapons and equipment were delivered from Russia. He also told about arms and ammunition trade. According to Isaev, there is no single command center running the militants in the Donbas: each group acts solely in its own interests, which are financial ones in most cases. "There are "detachments" in the "LPR" and "DPR" that specialize, for example, on scrap metal, banditry, or kidnapping. Shootouts and full-scale engagements often take place between different groups through financial interests," he said.
