Electricity tariffs to rise from September1

Starting from September 1, Ukrainians expect the second phase of increase in electricity tariffs, on the average, the prices will increase by 23% compared to the current tariff.
This has been said in a decision of the national commission that performs the state regulation in the fields of energy and utility services of February 26, 2014 "On establishment of electricity tariffs for population."
In accordance with the decision, from September 1, the prices will rise to an average of 62.8 kopecks per kWh, which is by 23% more than the current tariff.
According to the report of the national commission, such tariffs will last till March 1, 2016, and then they will be increased again by 23% compared with September rate.
