Andrzej Duda: Peace talks on Ukraine should take place with participation of Poland

President of Poland Andrzej Duda believes the negotiations on the Donbas should be held in a new format - with the participation of Poland.
As reported by Censor.NET citing Polskie Radio, this was announced by Duda in an interview with the Polish news agency PAP.
"The situation would be fatal if we had the conflict in the east of Ukraine frozen for many years, a lasting military conflict. I believe in the long run, if we continue seeking a long-term peaceful solution, the talks should be held in a new format intended to settle the issue," Andrzej Duda said.
The newly elected president of Poland, who takes office on Aug. 6, also expressed hopes the new format of talks would suggest the participation of Poland and other neighbors of Ukraine.
"Lasting peace can only be reached through a large international conference on peaceful settlement in Ukraine," he said.
Andrzej Duda said of necessity "to strive for restoration of the previous borders (of Ukraine - ed.), as they guaranteed the European order."
As reported earlier, the working group on security in Minsk has so far failed to agree on the text of the document to withdraw weapons under 100-mm.
