Finance Minister of Ukraine Natalie Jaresko praises talks with the creditors on restructuring of sovereign debt, which took place in Washington on Wednesday.

The Minister said this to Ukrainian reporters in Washington after a series of meetings, including with the IMF, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"The final agreement was not reached, but the great steps in mutual understanding were made. We are talking about tens of differences of opinion about figures, statistics, the vision of economy growth," the Finance Minister said.

According to Jaresko, the two sides came closer during the meetings in Washington.

"I think there has been a progress today," the Finance Minister of Ukraine stated.

She also noted that the talks with creditors were followed by the trilateral meeting, involving the IMF representatives, “where some additional issues were settled.”

In addition, Jaresko announced that the next round of negotiations with the creditors was scheduled for next week, probably, in form of a telephone conversation.
