Cabinet liquidates up Ukravtodor highway service, - Minister of Infrastructure

Cabinet has closed down the state joint stock company "Avtomobilni dorohy Ukrainy" (Roads of Ukraine).
Infrastructure Minister Andrii Pyvovarskyi said at a meeting of President Petro Poroshenko with heads of the regional state administrations in Odesa, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainski Novyny.
"The Cabinet of Ministers had decided to close down the "Avtodorohy Ukrainy " today. This is the final point in the process of development of the Roadmap which envisages the ways we may reform the system of Avtodor, deliver operational capabilities on places, finance construction of roads," Pyvovarskyi said.
He noted that if the Road Fund is created, it will become a substantial source to finance the rehabilitation of roads.
As previously reported, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the liquidation of the state joint stock company "Avtomobilni dorohy Ukrainy". The Ministry of Infrastructure has published a Road Map of the of motor transport industry development for 2015-2016.
The implementation of the European market access and operation rules, transparent and fair licensing system, the legalization of the market, creation of a favorable investment climate and the monetization of benefits are among the main priorities of the Road Map.
