Today, June 17, daily briefing for representatives of the OSCE SMM on the situation along the demarcation line took place at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the cease-fire,Censor.NET reports citing the press center of the ATO.
According to the report, Head of the Ukrainian side of the JCCC, Major General Andrii Taran told about attempts of the armed gangs to infiltrate the territory controlled by Ukraine in order to seize the positions.
In particular, last night there were two clashes of the Ukrainian Armed Forces with militant groups of 30 and 150 people with small arms and mortars near Marinka. All attacks were repulsed. The cessation of the militants' activities in this case was encouraged by the intervention of the Ukrainian and Russian sides in the Joint Center.
The OSCE representatives also received facts of the destruction of the infrastructure of towns by the militants, recorded on June 15. Thus, fire from the SPG-9 and armor-piercing incendiary bullets from heavy machine guns destroyed two buildings on the outskirts of Stanytsia Luhanska. The Ukrainian side also transferred recorded results of the shelling by 152-mm artillery and Grad of Toshkivka village and other violations of the Minsk agreements by the terrorists.
