The permanent representative of Russia to NATO Alexandr Grushko declared, Censor.net reports citing RIA"Novosti.
"Nothing has changed from the point of view of the quality but, of course, we are going to partially stregthen our military grouping in Crimea due to the fact that the NATO countries are pressing forward, deploying their forces in close proximity to our borders. It also owes to the fact that the fleet have required modernization for many years, but we were unable to do it because the Ukrainian party was preventing it by all means," the Russian ambassador said.
Nato Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg earlier stated that the allies should seek closer cooperation with their partners and organizations such as European Union in order to have the possibility to manage their security problems better.
