Ukraine urges EU to call specific time for visa abolition

MPs have adopted an appeal to the institutions and member states of the European Union to implement the action plan to liberalize the EU visa regime for Ukraine.
228 MPs supported this decision, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
In particular, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has called on the institutions and EU member states to support Ukraine and other countries of the Eastern Partnership on their paths of reforms and integration of political, economic and social structures with the European Union.
The deputies have also called on to demonstrate the long-awaited act of solidarity and support for the Ukrainian people, to address the participants of the Riga summit with a proposal to provide a positive signal on introduction of visa-free regime for citizens of Ukraine and Georgia and to determine a clear deadline for visa-free regime implementation.
