The head of state stated this in an interview with the Germany's second channel ZDF, Censor.NET reports.
Poroshenko said that when he took office, Ukraine was one of the most corrupt countries in the world, and now, at the Ukrainian-European summit, it was noted that Ukraine has made significant progress with regard to reforms. The priorities of the reform are the country's liberation from oligarchs, abolition of monopolies, decentralization of power in order to transfer power to the local level, and, adequate fight against corruption, Poroshenko told the German television.
In addition, the Ukrainian president said that the data voiced by the country's leadership, including the events in the East of Ukraine, observance of the Minsk agreements do not come from Ukrainian sources. In particular, military events are monitored by the OSCE SMM, an independent entity that conducts monitoring in accordance with international treaties, and this mission confirmed that Ukraine complies with the conditions of the Minsk agreement, Poroshenko said.
