NewsRSSAggressor to repeat fate of Hitler, - Yatseniuk
8 of May 2015 г.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk reminded aggressors about a lesson of the World War II, which ended with Hitler's regime brought before a military tribunal. He said this in a statement marking Ukraine’s Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation, and the 70th anniversary of the victory over Nazism in Europe, posted on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers, Ukrinform reports. "It was a victory over a crafty aggressor who trampled international law, mocked the Treaty of Friendship, who sought to destroy half of the world. He ended up before a military tribunal. This is a very important lesson of the Second World War: Any aggressor, who raves about new territories, rattles sabers and neglects the will of the people, will certainly repeat the fate of Hitler's regime," Yatseniuk said. He said that as one of the victor nations in the Second World War, Ukraine would never forget the contribution made by other nations to the victory over Nazism, and would always deeply honor them. "Seven million Ukrainians went to the front, and half of them died. Half of the survivors came back crippled," he said. Yatseniuk stressed that Ukrainians fought against Nazism in the Red Army, and the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, and in the armies of the anti-Hitler coalition. "Eternal glory to those who died and a deep honor to veterans. Their feats are immortal," the prime minister said. Yatseniuk noted that Ukraine had suffered huge losses during the war. "An attempt by Kremlin falsifiers to attribute the victory to one people, and wipe out the feats of all the others is desecration of the memory of millions. The war of Russia against Ukraine is a historic crime," Yatseniuk said. другие новости
