Hroisman: Peace in Europe is again under threat

Peace in Europe can be established only by joint efforts of the peoples of the world, as it happened 70 years ago.
Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Hroisman said this in his congratulatory message on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Victory Day and the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation, the Parliament's press service reported.
"Today the peace in Europe is again under threat. The military aggression is carried out against Ukraine. As it was 70 years ago, the peace can be established only by joint efforts of the peoples of the world ..." Hroisman said.
He stresses that currently Ukraine is forced once again to defend its independence, as well as the European values, and to pay a high price, but he is confident that Ukraine will win.
"We call on all those, who remember the lessons of the past, to do everything possible to prevent new tragedies and to resume the peace in the world," the speaker said.
