Action in support of Oleg Sentsov to be hold in Cannes

The Ukrainian pavilion as part of the Cannes International Film Festival will hold the action in support of Ukrainian director Oleg Sentsov, who is being illegally detained in Russia.
This has been announced by director general of Molodist International Film Festival Andriy Khalpakhchi at a press conference, Ukrinform reports.
"We have organized a large panel in support of Oleg Sentsov in our pavilion. We will ask everybody, foreign visitors to sign the appeal as the detention of Oleg Sentsov has been lasting for one year, being recently prolonged till July 11," Khalpakhchi said.
He has added that the world filmmakers are concerned about the fate of Sentsov. In particular, the European Film Academy demands that Russia release him.
The Ukrainian national pavilion at the Cannes International Film Festival will run on May 13-22.
