Ukrainian military not to leave Shyrokyne - ATO staff

The process of demilitarization of Shyrokyne village near Mariupol, Donetsk region, may start only after the enemy ceases firing completely.
Representative of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine on ATO Oleksandr Motuzianyk has said this at the briefing, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"The first stage of Shyrokyne demilitarization is a cease-fire on part of illegal armed groups, which does not happen as of now. Therefore, only after the militants completely cease firing near this village, we can talk about the next steps - withdrawal of units, establishment of observation posts, including that of the OSCE, in order to monitor the situation near the locality," Motuzyanik said.
According to him, a ceasefire will also give the opportunity to clear the village of mines for further demilitarization.
