Russia will fail to split the EU

German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier has said that Russia will fail to split the European Union.
He said this during his working visit to Vilnius, Lithuania, Delfi news agency reported.
"Perhaps, such attempts do occur, and they are likely to be undertaken in future. There were such attempts, but they were not successful. This issue is being discussed in Europe, but we can take our joint decisions. We have been discussing, our discussions were controversial, but we made our decision. I believe that attempts to split Europe will fail," the German minister noted.
