Ukrainian Parliament bans Communist and Nazi symbols
9 of April 2015 г.
The Ukrainian MPs have passed the law on condemnation of the Communist and National Socialist (Nazi) totalitarian regimes in Ukraine and on prohibition of propaganda of their symbols.
As an Ukrinform correspondent reports, the decision was supported by 254 MPs.
This law enshrines at the legislative level the condemnation of the Communist and the National Socialist (Nazi) totalitarian regimes as criminal ones.
The law introduces a ban on public denial of the criminal nature of these totalitarian regimes, and on public promotion and propaganda of their symbols.
The law also provides for a duty of the state to investigate into and disclose the information about the crimes committed by these totalitarian regimes.
