MP from the People's Front faction Anton Herashchenko said today, March 30, Censor.NET staff correspondent reports.
"These same people have sold 29% of shares in the TV channel Inter in January this year, when the People's Front party introduced a bill aimed to disclose the media ultimate owners," the deputy said.
He also reminded that 29% of the shares of TV channel Inter were owned by the Channel One of the Russian Public Television until January 2015. "To the very channel which played off Ukrainians against each other, which raised riots against Ukraine, which contributed to zombieing of population in the southeast of Ukraine and Crimea, to raise a rebellion against Ukraine," Herashchenko stressed.
"We are seeking the answer to the question whether it was Putin's $ 2.5 billion which was this channel purchased in 2012 for," the MP said, adding that the TV channel Inter acts as an internal enemy on assignment of Liovochkin and Firtash, playing off the citizens of Ukraine against each other and thus performing tasks of the foreign state.
In this regard, the MPs are requesting Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin to investigate the circumstances and the origin of funds in the amount of $2.5 billion which Firtash used to purchase shares of Inter in 2013, as well as question Valerii Khoroshkovskyi about the circumstances of him being forced to sell Inter.
