The corresponding petition was announced by the prosecutor in court, where a measure of restraint was to be elected, Ukrainian News reports.
According to the prosecutor, a petition to withdraw the move is motivated by the fact that there is no evidence of Bochkovskyi's alleged guilt in the crime he is being charged with.
In order to elect a measure of restraint, the documents must be further examined.
In turn, the Pechersk District Court refused to arrest former chairman of the State Emergency Service Serhii Bochkovskyi and sent the relevant motion back to the Ministry of the Interior.
This decision was announced by investigating judge Iryna Lytvynova.
She noted that thus the prosecutor's request to withdraw the move has been satisfied.
Earlier, Poroshenko expressed confidence in the future of the corruption case against former leadership of the Service.
