Deputy Marshal of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland Ryszard Terlecki made a corresponding statement at a joint briefing with Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk, an Ukrinform correspondent reports. Terlecki noted that the Sejm delegation had chosen this day for a visit to Kyiv as the intelligence services of the allies had informed that a Russian offensive was likely to start today or at night. "Fortunately, this has not happened, and may not happen in the future, but I want to assure you that we are ready to be with you in your parliament because we cannot imagine the security of the European Union without the security of Ukraine, we cannot imagine the future of the EU without Ukraine in it, we cannot imagine NATO without Ukraine," Terlecki said. He reiterated that Poland supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and assured of the continuity of such support in the future. For his part, Verkhovna Rada Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk thanked the parliamentarians of the Republic of Poland for their decision to support Ukraine amid the escalation of Russian military aggression.
