NewsRSSZelensky not ruling out full-scale war with Russia
10 of Septeber 2021 г.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said he does not rule out that the situation in eastern Ukraine might escalate and Russia may start a full-scale war against Ukraine.
He stated this at the YES Brainstorming forum in Kyiv on Friday, September 10, according to an Ukrinform correspondent. When asked if there was a possibility of a full-scale war, Zelensky said: "I think it may happen. It seems to me that the year 2014 was […] a step forward in this issue on the part of Russia and then, thanks to the Ukrainians, it was a step backward when they [the Russians] were stopped." At the same time, according to Zelensky, if this happens, it will be Russia's biggest mistake. "I believe that after that there will never be a neighborhood of Russia, Ukraine and Belarus if there is a strong escalation on the part of Russia," he said. Zelensky said he mentioned Belarus because "there is Russia's presence" on its territory. другие новости
