Kyiv is not planning to close kindergartens and primary schools for quarantine in the event of the next wave of the pandemic, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko has said - Ukrinform.
"Given previous experience, in the event of the next wave of the pandemic, the city does not plan to close kindergartens and primary schools for quarantine," Kyiv City State Administration's press service quoted him as saying. Klitschko said that today half of educators in the Ukrainian capital had already been vaccinated. "A large-scale vaccination program for all residents of Kyiv and educators has been underway in the capital since April. Educators are a priority group of protection. That is why 17 vaccination points are operating in Kyiv, where employees of schools, kindergartens, and other educational institutions of the city get vaccinated," Klitschko said. Klitschko said that the field of education is very important to the capital and is a priority.
