In the temporarily occupied Crimea, security forces detained five people after raids on Crimean Tatar homes.
"Today, new mass raids on houses of Crimean Tatar Muslims in Simferopol and Bakhchisaray districts of Crimea and in Balaklava, Nakhimovsky districts of Sevastopol have taken place since 04:00... Following the investigative actions, five people were detained" Crimean Solidarity posted on Facebook. In particular, FSB officers detained activists Rustem Murasov and Rustem Tayirov in Nakhimovsky district of Sevastopol, Dzhabbar Bekirov – in Balaklava district of Sevastopol, Zaur Abdullayev – in Bakhchisaray district of Crimea, imam Rayif Fevziyev – in Simferopol district of Crimea. Rayif Fevziyev is a local imam (religious figure) who graduated from a madrasa, a Crimean Tatar activist, and a father of many children. Rustem Murasov, Rustem Tayirov, Dzhabbar Bekirov, and Zaur Abdullayev regularly attended court hearings in politically motivated trials, supported the families of political prisoners, organized mass events in their villages. Lawyer Edem Semedliayev was not allowed to be present during the search in the house of Fevziyev. The lawyers of other men failed to arrive in time as the FSB officers completed the investigative actions swiftly. другие новости
